It optimizes the MP4 container and modifies key metadata to help TikTok reduce the amount of compression applied to your video. The original frames and resolution remains completely untouched, preserving the exact quality of your source footage.
After optimizing, do not edit the video (TikTok sounds, trimming, filters, etc.), or TikTok may re-encode and compress it. Upload the optimized file exactly as downloaded with visibility set to “Everyone”, not “Only Me”.

Use MP4 or MOV with H.264 or H265 (HEVC) encoding. For the best possible quality, export in 1080p or above, at a constant 60 FPS, with a high bitrate to preserve detail.
Our personal recommended bitrate is 10-40 Mbps depending on the resolution, to ensure the video plays smooth across all devices around the world. The goal is to get maximum quality with the lowest file size.
